"Steve, can you just tell me what to do?"

Getting in shape is difficult.

Every day, there’s a new trend on social media, a new supplement launched, a new secret workout strategy.

It’s confusing, frustrating, and demoralizing.

For the past fifteen years, I’ve done my damndest to try and cut through all this crap and help busy people get to the truth and forget the rest. I’ve written about 1000 articles on pretty much every topic related to exercise or nutrition.

Here’s the thing: the fact that I had to write 1000+ articles tells you something: this stuff can be complicated, and everybody is coming at it from a different level of experience, playing life on a different difficulty setting, and struggling with their own battles.

And that’s true, even when you’re reading science-backed, well-researched articles! It gets even worse if you’re trying to get your information from social media or YouTube, where people are often sharing terrible advice wrapped in a beautiful physique, or doing what they can to scare you from eating Cheerios or vegetables or whatever.

(Yes, there are people who think cheerios and vegetables are bad for you. Please don’t listen to them).

As a result of all this chaos around the internet, I’ve received one question more than any other:

“Steve, can you just TELL me what to do?”

It makes sense! We’re all busy and burned out. We’re stretched too thin, like butter scraped over too much bread (shout out J. R. R. Tolkien!).

We all have a limited amount of time, a limited amount of energy, and a limited attention span! There’s nothing worse than spending months building a new habit, or cutting something fun out of our diet, only to discover that it didn't actually do anything to get us the results we want.

Or, spending a boatload of money on expensive supplements that don’t do anything either. (By the way, this applies to like 99.9% of supplements!)

So, Team NF asked me if I wanted to be part of a fun little livestream to help solve this EXACT problem, and I said “Heck yes!”

Want to hang with us live? It'll be fun!

Here’s the details: Coach Matt from Team NF and I are gonna be hanging out for a live video stream called “Just tell me what to do!”

(I know, very clever title).

Our goal: tell you the exact things you need to know when it comes to eating and exercising to reach your goals. Not only that, but you’ll also have the tools you need to evaluate every future fancy trend or supplement or fear-mongering social media video confidently.

After it’s over, you’ll not only know exactly what to do, but exactly what you can confidently ignore too.

These are the same tactics we’ve helped 10,000 coaching clients with over the past 7 years.

The livestream is gonna be on September 4th at 6 pm EST / 3 pm PST.

It’s totally free, and should be a good time.

As someone who already gets my emails, all you have to do is click the button below and we’ll send you the details and get you signed up.

-Steve

PS: Don’t want to join the livestream, and just want to keep getting my free Monday emails? Great! No problem. You are all set. See you next Monday.

PPS: Did you get forwarded this email? Or have someone new you want to send the details of this free hangout? Instead of using the button, you can enter in your email at this link here. See you in a few weeks!

Hi there. I'm Steve.

I founded Nerd Fitness way back in 2009. Wherever you are coming from, I’m glad you are here. Every week, I send out a short email that’s guaranteed to make you live a tiny bit better, think a little deeper, and overcome the obstacles that get in the way.

Those are some EPIC sideburns.” My next thought: “Bold choice with the striped shirt, jeans, and flip flops!” Then I gave myself some grace. I’m deeply uncomfortable with the spotlight. I hate public speaking. It makes me want to vomit every single time. I also don’t like being on camera. And yet, I have...

I am a conflict-avoidant people-pleaser, so I would often pride myself on NEVER allowing myself to rely on others. I certainly wouldn’t let myself burden somebody else with my struggles. I jokingly shared how I felt about asking for help the other day on Instagram: I would gladly help others without a second thought. But saw it as a character flaw for myself (and ONLY...

He’s also a writer, screenwriter, poet, and all-around interesting dude. His band’s most famous song, “Red Right Hand,” serves as the theme song for the show Peaky Blinders, which I have been watching this summer. And last week, Nick Cave turned up again in my life, and I can’t stop thinking about...
